I have been waiting a bit to write any social commentary on my experiences in Japan in order to really know if my impressions hold consistent.
I’ve almost been here for three months (!) and I am starting to form more tangible ideas of how to describe certain topics. But, I’m still hesitant to make any conclusions.
As of late most of my posts have been images. Food. Landscapes. ”Famous places.” Cute things. In my free time I try to pursue as much of this sensory stimulation as possible, especially since free time has become much more precious to me with the awkward work schedule I have. Sometimes it’s difficult to articulate what I can just show in images. Living in the present, thinking in the present, sometimes reflecting about the past. As the winter chill sets in, there will be more time for reflecting with a warm drink in one hand and a pen in the other. I will sift through some of my journal entries and think about what to share with the interwebz.
